This article threw me, today. The idea that Case, the place that symbolized so much safety for me, is the place where someone else was attacked, threw me. That nowhere is truly safe, which is something I think we all know empirically but is hard to integrate emotionally.
What a brave woman.

One of my professors at Case was chased into the building she taught in, into her office, and was tied to her chair, sexually assaulted, and then left in her office, still tied to her own desk chair. This was back in the 80s too, i think, though it might have been even earlier. I found out on accident, when she was having me reorganize her files, and I found that in her files, there was still a copy of her police report.
